The BMD-ESR analyzer is an automatic, microprocessor controlled instrument, exclusively built for the analysis of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate. It constantly and simultaneously scans 10 test tubes which are custom-made for ESR analysis. It follows the sedimentation of each sample independently, monitoring levels for the entire period of analysis.
This device has been designed to simplify ESR analysis as much as possible. The closed analysis system reduces contact with hazardous blood specimens when using vacuum ESR tubes.
Sample analysis is performed by placing the sample test tube directly into the instrument. The result appears on the display in only 30 minutes. This simple testing procedure means that analysis can be performed directly at the point-of-care. While carrying out the analysis, it can measure the room temperature and convert the test result to the reference temperature of 18 °C, avoiding considerable variations in results due to different room temperatures.
